BUS LICENCE UPGRADES, REFRESHER COURSES AND FAMILIARISATION TRAINING
DRIVER AUTHORITY COURSE
Royce Driver Training runs the Driver Authority Course at our premises at Homebush Bay in Sydney.
The Driver Authority Course Modules are:
- Legislation and Driver Authority
- Customer Service
- Vehicle Operations
- Breakdowns and Emergencies
- Driver Safety
Driver Authority Costs
The course cost is $360 and takes approximately five to six hours. We will require an initial payment of $150 for the training resource pack and associated documents which will be forwarded to you upon receipt of your payment. The balance of $210 will be payable at the course. There is also a licence fee of $70 payable to NSW Department of Transport & Infrastructure.
A Public Passenger Vehicle authority is required by NSW Department of Transport & Infrastructure for any driver carrying passengers - Long Distance, Tourist and Route.
How do I become a bus driver?
If you currently have an MR licence or higher, you have the necessary licence qualification to be a bus driver. Please read our information sheet on Bus Familiarisaton.
If you hold a C class licence, you will be required to upgrade your licence. Please refer to our Licence Upgrade page for information about procedures for obtaining a HVCBA licence for MR, HR and HC upgrades.
